Deputy CM KV Singh Deo Launches State-Level Oil Palm Plantation Campaign in Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister KV Singh Deo today inaugurated a state-level oil palm plantation campaign in Dhanpur village under Betonati block in Mayurbhanj district, as part of his two-day tour of the district.

The campaign is supported by 11 palm oil companies, all of which showcased their products at the event. This initiative aims to promote and expand oil palm cultivation with the help of incentives provided to farmers under the National Edible Oil Mission Scheme by the Central Government.

Singh Deo emphasized that another 3,000 farmers from all blocks in Mayurbhanj district will benefit from this large-scale oil palm plantation campaign. He highlighted that the central government’s palm oil cultivation mission, which is being implemented in 20 districts across the state, will bring economic prosperity to farmers.

During his visit, Singh Deo also reviewed various departmental works in the conference hall of the Mayurbhanj Collectorate.
