Delhi to Kanyakumari Bikers Rally Promoting Siddha Wellness Awareness to Start Tomorrow

New Delhi: The Union Minister of State for Ayush, Dr. Munajpara Mahendrabhai, is set to flag off the Delhi to Kanyakumari Bikers Rally as part of the Siddha Wellness Rally & Awareness Campaign (SWRAC) tomorrow from Ayush Bhavan. This transformative 20-day expedition, covering approximately 3333 kilometers, aims to showcase the Siddha system of Medicine. The rally will pass through 8 states/Union Territories, with 21 awareness camp points along the route.

The rally, featuring 20 bikers and 2 standby bikers, is a unique initiative to engage diverse audiences and spread awareness about the Siddha system of medicine. The bikers will serve as dynamic ambassadors, promoting the campaign with hashtags such as #ScientistsOnBike, #DoctorsOnBike, #FacultiesOnBike, and #ResearchersOnBike.

Director of the National Institute of Siddha, Dr. Meenkumari, highlighted the objective of the bike rally, aiming to foster the message of Siddha medicine across 21 locations. The program includes awareness events, meet-and-greet sessions with public representatives, and government dignitaries.

SWRAC incorporates a comprehensive media strategy to ensure widespread attention and resonance with diverse audiences along the route. The campaign aims to leave a lasting impact in every region it traverses.

The Siddha system of medicine, one of the oldest healthcare traditions in the Indian subcontinent, is officially recognized under Ayush systems. It caters to a significant proportion of the population through both public and private healthcare facilities. With state patronage, Siddha medicine has evolved into a well-established system with a growing institutional network for education, training, research, and drug manufacturing.

Dr. Meenkumari emphasized the holistic approach of Siddha medicine, addressing physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. The system advocates a balanced state of three vital forces – Vali, Azhal, and Aiyam – for a disease-free life. The rally will also highlight external therapies like Varmam and Thokkanam as integral components of the Siddha system.

The core doctrine of Siddha medicine emphasizes the role of food and lifestyle for healthy living. The campaign seeks to create awareness about the Siddha system’s principles and benefits, reaching audiences across diverse regions of the country.
