Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital on Track to Becoming AIIMS Plus Institution

Bhubaneswar: To enhance healthcare facilities in Odisha, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, Kartik Pandian, under the guidance of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing development initiatives at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH) in Cuttack. The hospital is undergoing a transformative process to emerge as an AIIMS plus institution equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

During his visit to Cuttack, Kartik Pandian assessed the progress of various construction works at the SCB MCH-AIIMS plus project site. Engaging in discussions with concerned officers, he emphasized the importance of adhering to timelines and instructed a swift completion of the construction works.

The ambitious project, with an estimated cost of Rs 4500 Crores, encompasses the development of residential blocks and the establishment of a 2058-bedded hospital. Kartik Pandian explored different components of the work site, engaging with engineers and executing agencies to ensure a thorough understanding of the ongoing efforts.

Instructing the executing agencies to prioritize quality control, Kartik Pandian urged them to enhance manpower deployment to accelerate the pace of construction.
