CM Patnaik Unveils Ambitious Industrial Initiatives Propelling Odisha’s Economic Growth

Bhubaneswar: In a significant stride towards economic advancement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated nine industrial projects and laid the foundation stones for 23 industrial units, solidifying Odisha’s position as an attractive investment destination.

According to an official press release, the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies underscore Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s commitment to expeditiously translating investment intentions into tangible projects. The unveiled projects, collectively representing an investment of Rs 6992.94 crore and a potential employment boost for 24,508 individuals, are strategically located across 14 districts, namely Bolangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundergarh.

During the event, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik highlighted the state’s expanding industrial portfolio, encompassing emerging sectors such as green energy equipment manufacturing, textiles, and tourism, among others. He attributed this diversification to Odisha’s continuous improvement in the Ease of Doing Business ranking, a business-friendly environment, world-class industrial infrastructure, and impactful skill development initiatives. These factors collectively contribute to attracting investments and fostering economic growth within the state.

Expressing his satisfaction with the widespread distribution of the 32 projects across 14 districts, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasized the broad-basing of industrialization in Odisha. The move reflects a strategic approach towards ensuring inclusive economic development and generating employment opportunities in various regions.

The ceremony, conducted via video conferencing, witnessed the presence of Minister of Industries, MSME & Energy Pratap Keshari Deb, along with senior government officials and industry representatives. The event marks a significant stride in Odisha’s industrial landscape, affirming its commitment to fostering a conducive business environment and driving economic prosperity across diverse sectors.
