Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his delight as Sonapur Beach in Ganjam district was awarded the prestigious Blue Flag certification by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
Taking to his social media handle, the Chief Minister shared, “Glad to share that Sonapur Beach in Ganjam, one of the picturesque beaches of #Odisha has received the prestigious BlueFlag certification from FEE. This globally recognized eco-label, by ensuring stringent environmental standards, cleanliness, and tourist-friendly amenities will further boost tourism.”
Sunapur Beach becomes the second beach in Odisha to achieve the coveted Blue Flag certification from FEE, following Puri’s golden beach, which secured the Blue Flag tag in 2020. This recognition is anticipated to contribute significantly to the flourishing tourism in the region.
