
Bhubaneswar: Over 77 Odia medical students studying in Ukrainian universities returned to the State with the help provided by the Odisha government.
A special flight carrying the students and sponsored by the State government departed from the New Delhi Airport and reached the Biju Patnaik International Airport at 5:30 PM.
For the safe evacuation of Odia students from war torn Ukraine, the Odisha government had arranged two buses with the help of its connections.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed the students are the Bhubaneswar airport and assured them that all possible efforts will be made to ensure their study does not get affected following the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
In March 6, the Chief Minister wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to intervene so that study of the Indian medical students retuned from Ukraine does not get affected.
