CM Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates Campus for Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Andharua

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the newly constructed campus of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya in Andharua, Bhubaneswar. The event marks a significant step towards providing quality education to talented students in rural areas under the CBSE framework.

Expressing his optimism, the Chief Minister highlighted the institution’s role in preparing students for global competition, fostering an environment conducive to building a bright future. The foundation for the campus was laid on September 5, 2021, on the occasion of Guru Divas, underlining the government’s commitment to educational excellence.

The sprawling 25-acre campus boasts an academic block, two hostels accommodating 544 students each for boys and girls, a central kitchen, dining facilities, staff quarters, dormitories, and dedicated spaces for parking and gardens. Designed to cater to the needs of 1,000 meritorious students who excelled in the CBSE 10th board examination, the government has invested over Rs 100 crore in its construction.

The Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya goes beyond conventional facilities, offering free accommodation for residential students and amenities such as well-equipped classrooms, ICT Labs, an E-Library, and a  Science Lab, along with skill development facilities.

The ambitious initiative aims to establish an Adarsha Vidyalaya in every block of the state, providing quality education to talented students in rural areas within the CBSE framework. To date, 315 such schools have been established under this program.

In a commitment to the holistic development of meritorious students in rural areas, the newly inaugurated campus will host coaching arrangements for various national-level competitions. These arrangements are tailored to support students aspiring to pursue medical, engineering, law courses, and military careers, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
