Berhampur: Continuing his political legacy, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik filed his nomination papers today for the Hinjili Assembly constituency in Ganjam district. This marks the sixth consecutive time that Naveen is contesting from the Hinjili constituency, a stronghold of the BJD.
Amidst a sea of supporters and well-wishers, Naveen Patnaik submitted four sets of nomination papers at the Sub-Collector’s Office in Chatrapur.
The Hinjili Assembly Constituency is slated to go to polls on May 20, during the second phase of elections in Odisha. Prior to filing his nomination, Naveen sought blessings at the Tara Tarini temple, a customary tradition before embarking on his electoral journey.
In addition to Hinjili, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is also contesting from the Kantabanji Assembly Constituency in Bolangir district. Both constituencies are scheduled for voting on May 20, marking a significant juncture in Odisha’s electoral landscape.
