Chinar Warriors Facilitate Community Engagement: ‘Awami Milap’ Bridges Citizens and Indian Army in Drugmulla

Drugmulla:  In a proactive initiative to enhance community relations and address local concerns, the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, under the banner of ‘Awami Milap,’ organized a community-centric event in Drugmulla on February 17, 2024. The event provided a unique platform for citizens to voice their administrative issues directly to the Civil Administration and the Indian Army for swift resolution.

The ‘Awami Milap’ initiative reflects the commitment of the Chinar Warriors to foster a strong bond between the military, civil administration, and the local population. A diverse group of citizens from various walks of life turned out in large numbers to participate in the event, underscoring the collective desire for a harmonious and prosperous community.

During the gathering, members of the Indian Army and Civil Administration engaged with citizens in a constructive dialogue, listening attentively to their concerns and issues. The event aimed to bridge the gap between the military and the civilian population, creating an environment of mutual understanding and cooperation.

Major General Girish Kalia, General Officer Commanding, Vajr Division, reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to working closely with different facets of civil administration and society to contribute to the overall peace and prosperity of Kashmir. The GOC’s message emphasized the collaborative efforts required to address the challenges faced by the region, ensuring that the voices of the citizens are heard and their grievances addressed promptly.

The ‘Awami Milap’ initiative not only provided a platform for citizens to voice their concerns but also showcased the Chinar Warriors’ dedication to community welfare beyond their primary defense responsibilities. The event signifies a step towards building stronger ties between the Indian Army and the local populace, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

As the Chinar Warriors continue their efforts to strengthen community relations, initiatives like ‘Awami Milap’ contribute to creating a more inclusive and responsive governance model in the region. The success of such endeavors lies in the collaborative spirit that brings citizens, civil administration, and the Indian Army together for the greater good of the community.
