Tata Electronics Private Limited, the acquiring entity, is a greenfield venture under the umbrella of Tata Sons Private Limited. Specializing in the production of smartphone enclosures, it plays a crucial role in manufacturing high-precision components that form the frame of smartphones.
On the other hand, Wistron Infocomm Manufacturing (India) Private Limited, the target company, is an established player in the electrical and electronics manufacturing sector. It is actively involved in electronic manufacturing services, particularly contract manufacturing of electronics for smartphones within India. The company operates from its manufacturing plant located in Karnataka, contributing significantly to the growth of the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in the country.
