BSNL Unveils New Logo and Seven Citizen-Centric Services to Enhance Connectivity

New Delhi: Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, unveiled Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)’s new logo today, along with seven innovative citizen-centric services aimed at reinforcing the company’s commitment to secure, affordable, and reliable connectivity across Bharat. The launch event took place at Bharat Sanchar Bhavan, attended by Minister of State for Communications & Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Secretary Telecom, CMD BSNL, and senior officers from various telecom bodies.

During the ceremony, Minister Scindia emphasized that BSNL’s new logo symbolizes the organization’s dedication to customer service. He stated, “These seven citizen-centric services are Made in India, Made for India, and Made by India,” underlining BSNL’s position as the only Telecom Service Provider (TSP) in the country to introduce such indigenous initiatives.

Scindia asserted that these efforts would keep BSNL at the forefront of technological innovations in India, with plans for the rollout of 5G services already in the pipeline. He mentioned that BSNL has successfully conducted trials for both 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and core technologies in the 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz frequency bands. “We have ambitious plans to establish 1,00,000 BSNL 4G sites by mid-2025, with many expected to be upgraded to 5G connectivity,” he added.

Reflecting on BSNL’s transformation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister Scindia noted that the organization has evolved from being a follower to becoming a leader in the telecom sector. He remarked, “The launch of the new logo and these citizen-centric services is a testament to this transformation.”

Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, gracing the occasion, commended BSNL for being the backbone of the nation’s telecom services, especially in remote and challenging terrains. He highlighted the government’s unwavering support for BSNL, which has received two revival packages aimed at bolstering its operations. He added that the deployment of fully indigenous 4G equipment showcases the company’s commitment to technological advancement and capability.

New Logo Symbolizes Strength and Trust

BSNL’s new logo is designed to convey strength, trust, and accessibility. The green and white arrows encircling India signify the company’s extensive nationwide reach, while the vibrant orange backdrop represents warmth and inclusivity. The bold tagline “Connecting Bharat” encapsulates BSNL’s mission to bridge the digital divide, providing a modern and reliable telecom network that connects both urban and rural India.
