Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for Bhadrak, the district has been ranked first among all 30 districts of Odisha for its overall performance in revenue administration, earning the prestigious Certificate of Excellence during the state-level Revenue Officers’ Conference-cum-Workshop held at Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar.
The two-day conference, organised for the first time by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, brought together Tahasildars, Sub-Collectors, and ADMs (Revenue) from across the state to deliberate on strengthening grassroots governance and enhancing public service delivery.
Bhadrak’s top ranking was based on two key criteria:
Effective implementation of the Odisha Right to Public Services Act (ORTPSA), and
Progress in Column 2 correction of the Record of Rights (RoR), a crucial aspect of land record management.
The district outshone its counterparts in both areas, demonstrating a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and citizen-centric service delivery. The award was received by ADM (Revenue) Santanu Kumar Mohanty on behalf of Collector Dilip Routrai, accompanied by the district’s revenue team.
The inaugural session of the workshop was graced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, and Additional Chief Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister praised revenue officers for their pivotal role in public service delivery and governance reform, particularly under the framework of ORTPSA.
“Revenue officers are at the frontline of service delivery. Their efficiency and commitment directly impact citizens’ everyday lives. Bhadrak’s performance reflects what is possible with dedicated and transparent administration,” he said.
