BDA Announces Launch of Ekamra Residency at 151st Authority Meeting

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) today held its 151st Authority Meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister for Housing & Urban Development and Public Enterprises-cum-Chairman, BDA. The meeting, held in the presence of BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Jatni Municipality Chairman Ananta Behera, H&UD Principal Secretary Usha Padhee, RDC (Central Division) Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, BDA Vice-Chairman Chanchal Rana, and senior officials, approved several major urban development proposals for the Capital City.

A key highlight of the meeting was the announcement of Ekamra Residency, one of BDA’s largest upcoming housing projects. Located in the fast-growing Subudhipur area, the project spans 7.36 acres and is designed to offer contemporary, well-planned homes. The residential complex comprises three towers (B+G+12 floors) featuring 416 two-bedroom and 288 three-bedroom apartments.

Speaking on the project, Minister Dr. Mahapatra said, “The modalities of house allotment will be finalized soon. These projects will fulfill the ambition of people owning their own homes in the State Capital. The construction of the housing units has already been completed.”

Ekamra Residency has been planned as a modern, amenity-rich residential community. The project includes a community hall, rooftop swimming pool, walking track, commercial facilities, children’s play area, fitness centre, solar panel zone, landscaped open spaces, a 100-ft approach road, and ample basement parking for both residents and visitors. The facilities reflect BDA’s focus on developing high-quality, future-ready urban spaces.

The Authority also approved several major infrastructure proposals aimed at strengthening connectivity across the city. These include the development of the CDP road from Sani Temple, Niladri Vihar to DAV School Road in Sailashree Vihar, the construction of a 45-metre CDP road linking Guru Kelucharan Park Square to Patia Railway Station, and the CDP road connecting Nuagaon–Kateni Road to the TP-08 corridor.
