Barabati Stadium Set to Host India-South Africa T20I in December

Bhubaneswar: Cricket fever is set to grip Odisha as Barabati Stadium in Cuttack is expected to be one of the venues for the upcoming T20I series between India and South Africa in December 2025.

As per reports from national media, South Africa will embark on a multi-format tour of India, featuring two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is, beginning in late November 2025. This highly anticipated tour comes after India’s successful T20I series win in South Africa in November 2024.

While an official confirmation from the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is still awaited, sources suggest that Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium might host the opening T20I on December 9. The five-match T20I series, seen as a crucial build-up to the T20 World Cup, is scheduled for December 9, 11, 14, 17, and 19, with matches likely to be played in Cuttack, Nagpur, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.

If finalized, the match will mark yet another significant international fixture at Barabati Stadium, further solidifying its reputation as a premier cricketing venue in India.
