Avani Lekhara Becomes First Indian Woman To Win Two Paralympics Medals

Tokyo: India bagged two medals at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 on Friday with Avani Lekhara winning her second medal. She won bronze in Women’s 50 m Rifle shooting.

Earlier, she became the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in Paralympic in the 10 m air rifle event.

18-year-old Praveen Kumar winning the silver in Men’s High Jump. Praveen recorded the best jump of 2.07 m.

With these wins, India’s current medal tally at the Tokyo Paralympics has reached to 12, which includes 2 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
