Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Odisha, Anu Garg, IAS, conducted a comprehensive review of the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) and Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) on Friday.
The review meeting, held in Bhubaneswar, was attended by Central Prabhari Officers, senior State Government officials assigned to various districts, District Collectors, and officers from line departments representing 16 identified districts and 40 aspirational blocks.
The session was coordinated by T. Ao, IAS, Special Secretary, Planning & Convergence Department. The discussions centred on progress across key themes and indicators, the status of ongoing projects, and initiatives supported through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaborations.
During the meeting, Garg stressed the importance of convergence among departmental schemes, timely implementation, and robust monitoring to ensure holistic and sustained development in the targeted regions.
Appreciating the joint efforts of NITI Aayog, Central Prabhari Officers, State Nodal Officers, and district administrations, she urged all stakeholders to work in close coordination, address bottlenecks proactively, and maintain the momentum toward achieving the overarching goals of the Aspirational Districts and Blocks Programmes.
These programmes, designed to improve governance and accelerate socio-economic development in underperforming regions, focus on key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, basic infrastructure, and financial inclusion — driving Odisha’s vision for equitable and inclusive growth.
