Anthony Fernandes Appointed as New Assistant Coach of Odisha FC

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC has announced the appointment of Anthony Fernandes as the club’s new assistant coach, succeeding Floyd Pinto, who departs due to personal reasons. The club extends its best wishes to Floyd for his future endeavors.

Anthony Fernandes brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in Indian football, having transitioned from a successful playing career to coaching. His coaching journey includes notable roles, including a stint as interim head coach at Air India FC and significant contributions to Mumbai City FC, particularly in the youth setup.

Expressing his excitement about Anthony’s appointment, Odisha FC Head Coach Sergio Lobera remarked, “I had the pleasure of working with him at Mumbai City, where we achieved success together. Anthony is a true professional and an outstanding individual whom I am delighted to collaborate with once again. His experience and expertise will be invaluable to our coaching staff.”

In his statement, Anthony Fernandes expressed his enthusiasm about joining Odisha FC, emphasizing the club’s ambition and recent progress. “Odisha FC is a club with clear ambitions to compete for titles. I am eager to reunite with Sergio, with whom I have enjoyed success in the past. I am fully committed to contributing my utmost to help Odisha FC achieve new heights,” he affirmed.
