Bhubaneswar: In a significant move towards bolstering efficiency, transparency, and community engagement, the municipal administration of Bhubaneswar, in alignment with the 5T Governance of the Government, welcomed 89 newly recruited individuals into its fold. The induction ceremony, known as “Nijukti Parba,” witnessed the distribution of appointment letters to 61 Amins and 28 Auditors, marking a transformative moment for the city’s administration.
The Convention Centre of Lok Seva Bhawan set the stage for this auspicious event as the recruits, hailing from diverse backgrounds, gathered with anticipation for the commencement of their municipal service journey.
The induction program commenced with an enlightening orientation session conducted by Sangramjit Nayak, Director of Municipal Administration. Nayak highlighted that this recruitment process is a first-of-its-kind initiative for the department. G Mathivathanan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development department, delivered a keynote address, providing insights into the urban transformation journey in Odisha.
The chief guest of the occasion, Minister of Housing & Urban Development, Smt Usha Devi, handed over the letters of appointment to the newly recruited individuals. The event also saw the presence of dignitaries such as Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister for Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Science & Technology Dept; Shri Ananta Narayan Jena, MLA Central; and Smt. Sulochana Das, Mayor of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. They offered guidance to the recruits, emphasizing a sense of duty and responsibility towards the citizens they will be serving.
