New Delhi: In a heartwarming interaction, the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Shri Narayan Rane, met with the beneficiaries of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme during the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The beneficiaries, recognized as “Special Guests” by the Ministry of Defence, were invited to witness the grand event as a token of acknowledgment for their contributions.
In his address, Shri Narayan Rane expressed joy in welcoming the PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries and underscored the scheme’s role in supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople in villages. He highlighted the scheme’s vision, aligned with that of the Prime Minister, aimed at enhancing skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and establishing sustainable enterprises.
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme, launched with a holistic approach, offers comprehensive support to artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades. The Republic Day event saw the participation of 256 beneficiaries, including both female and male artisans, showcasing the scheme’s widespread impact. The representation spanned across various states, Union Territories, North Eastern States, and Aspirational Districts, reflecting the scheme’s inclusive reach.
The Minister’s interaction highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering grassroots talents, preserving traditional crafts, and fostering economic independence through schemes like PM Vishwakarma. The event stands as a testament to the transformative journey of skilled individuals evolving into successful entrepreneurs under the scheme’s guidance.
