Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Propels Infrastructural Boom with Foundation Stones Laid for National Highway Projects

 

Jaunpur:  In a groundbreaking initiative to bolster India’s infrastructure, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari, inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple National Highway projects across Uttar Pradesh today, marking a milestone in the nation’s progress.

Jaunpur Witnesses Rs 10,000 Crore Investment in 10 National Highway Projects

Shri Nitin Gadkari commenced the day by laying the foundation stone for ten National Highway projects in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, amounting to an investment of Rs 10,000 crore. The projects, including the construction of two bypasses in Jaunpur city and a ring road, aim to alleviate traffic congestion and foster industrial development in the region. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the significance of these projects in advancing the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan, focusing on improving multi-modal and last-mile connectivity throughout the country.

One flagship project under this plan is the Prayagraj-Dohrighat Corridor, a four-lane construction connecting Purvanchal Expressway, 11 National Highways, 2 State Highways, 5 railway stations, and 2 airports. Expected to mitigate traffic issues in crucial commercial cities like Phulpur, Mungarabadpur, Machhilishahr, Jaunpur, and Azamgarh, this corridor aims to enhance connectivity, spur economic growth, and generate employment opportunities.

Rae Bareli Welcomes Rs 4142 Crore Investment in 8 National Highway Projects

Moving on to Rae Bareli, Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated eight National Highway projects with a total investment of Rs 4142 crore. Emphasizing the historical and religious importance of districts like Prayagraj, Rae Bareli, and Sultanpur, the Minister underscored the significance of these projects in connecting these areas effectively. Covering a total length of 424 km, these projects are poised to improve connectivity with other parts of the state and the nation.

Mirzapur Sees the Dawn of Rs 1750 Crore National Highway Projects

In Mirzapur, Shri Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for two ambitious National Highway projects worth over Rs 1750 crore. The first project involves the construction of a 4-lane Mirzapur bypass, featuring a 6-lane bridge across the Ganga river on National Highway 135A, spanning 15 km. Additionally, repairs will be conducted on a 59 km stretch from Mirzapur to Prayagraj and from Prayagraj to Pratapgarh on National Highways 35 and 330. These endeavors aim to facilitate easier access to religious sites in Mirzapur, boosting tourism and fostering economic development in the region.

The construction of a 4-lane Mirzapur bypass on the Ganga river is poised to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance connectivity between Mirzapur-Ayodhya, and stimulate increased trade activities.

With these strategic investments, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has set the stage for transformative infrastructural development, promising improved connectivity, economic growth, and enhanced quality of life for the residents of Uttar Pradesh.
