Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, addressed the closing ceremony of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The event saw the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Shri Parshottam Rupala, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha, along with various other dignitaries.
In his address, Shri Amit Shah acknowledged the transformative development in Gujarat and the entire nation over the last 20 years. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, initiated with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has played a pivotal role in this qualitative change. Proudly, Shri Shah mentioned that India has become the most preferred destination for production and investment globally, with Gujarat leading the way as the most preferred destination within India.
Shri Amit Shah emphasized the need to carry forward the game-changing beginning initiated two decades ago. He highlighted India’s economic journey, noting that when Shri Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the country’s economy ranked eleventh globally. Presently, India stands at the fifth position, and Shri Shah expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, India will become the world’s third-largest economy in the next 15 years.
The Home Minister marked the recent G-20 Summit held under India’s chairmanship, where the world appreciated the slogan of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future.’ He emphasized that India, guided by the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ has emerged as a global friend.
On the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti, Shri Amit Shah paid tribute to Swami Vivekananda for boosting India’s self-confidence. He credited Vivekananda with laying the foundation for a self-confident India, echoing the sentiments of today’s youth.
Reflecting on the last two decades of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Shri Shah commended its role in transforming ideas into tangible investments, benefiting both Gujarat and the national economy. He underscored Gujarat’s trustworthiness and the state’s responsibility to maintain the trust of the entire country.
Shri Amit Shah highlighted the success stories of various industrial hubs, parks, and zones in Gujarat, such as Mandal Becharaji, Dahej, PM Mitra Park in Surat, and others. He applauded the culture of a policy-driven state created by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, now being continued by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
The Home Minister credited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for structural reforms, positioning India among the top five economies. He emphasized the stability, governance, and policies provided under Shri Modi’s leadership. Shri Shah noted that the country has witnessed more than 25 policies aimed at economic development.
Looking ahead, Shri Amit Shah highlighted India’s leadership in sectors driving the world economy, including electric vehicles, green growth, space, digital public infrastructure, and renewable energy. He encouraged industrialists to explore opportunities in the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) program.
The Home Minister assured that Gujarat, under Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, will continue to be a preferred destination for investors, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for a self-reliant and developed India. He echoed the appeal of Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to invest in Kashmir, supporting Prime Minister Modi’s efforts to integrate the region.
