Bhubaneswar: The two-day Review Meeting of District Social Security Officers was successfully held at Lok Seva Bhavan, State Secretariat, focusing on the implementation and improvement of various social security initiatives across Odisha.
On the second day of the event, field-level officers visited the Integrated Infrastructure Complex (IIC) at Khudupur, Jatni, where they reviewed ongoing schemes and projects aimed at supporting vulnerable communities. They provided critical feedback on the initiatives, ensuring that programs are effectively addressing the needs of beneficiaries. Officials also inspected the Special ITI near IIC, evaluating the facilities and challenges faced by differently-abled students undergoing vocational training.
As part of their field assessments, the officials also visited Manodaya Institution in Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar, where they observed various therapies provided to children with intellectual disabilities. This visit underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive education and rehabilitation.
In the afternoon, a concluding session was held at the Convention Center in Lok Seva Bhavan, where senior officials engaged in discussions on enhancing departmental programs and improving the three institutions visited. The deliberations focused on expanding services, addressing challenges, and strengthening support mechanisms for vulnerable sections of society.
The session was attended by several senior officials, including Director of the Department Niyati Pattnayak, FA-cum-Special Secretary Jayashree Tripathy, Additional Secretaries Santosh Kumar Pradhan, Deepak Routray, Sonia Behera, and Bhaskar Raito, along with Deputy Secretary Basant Kumar Behera and Under Secretary Nihar Ranjan Padhy.
This review meeting provided valuable insights into the implementation of social security programs and reinforced the importance of continuous development and strategic improvements in the sector to better serve the people of Odisha.
