Bengaluru: In a thrilling showdown between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Travis Head of SRH stole the spotlight by notching up his maiden century in the tournament. The match, held at the iconic Chinnaswamy Stadium, witnessed Head’s blazing innings, setting a new record for the fastest hundred by an SRH batter, achieved in just 39 balls.
From the onset, the Sunrisers Hyderabad opener displayed aggressive intent, taking on the RCB bowlers with his attacking strokes. Teaming up with his opening partner Abhishek Sharma, Head propelled SRH to a strong start, with the team reaching 76/0 at the conclusion of the powerplay.
The duo of Head and Sharma showcased a formidable partnership, adding 108 runs before Reece Topley managed to dismiss Sharma. Undeterred by the loss of his partner, Travis Head continued his onslaught on the RCB bowling attack, reaching his century in spectacular fashion.
