New Delhi: The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), operating under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), has embarked on a transformative journey through strategic collaborations. Aligning with 15 esteemed organizations, industry leaders, and eminent academic institutions, these partnerships aim to shape the ‘Amrit Peedhi’ (Youth Generation) for the Future of Work. The distinguished partners include Flipkart, Teamlease, Infosys, IIT Guwahati & LogicKnots, TimesPro, BCG, Google, UpGrad, Unstop, Microsoft, M3M Foundation, Reliance Foundation, Yes Foundation, UPS, and TeamLease EdTech.
The announcement, made during a landmark event attended by luminaries such as Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, marks a significant step towards creating synergies between education and industry. These alliances usher in a new era of collaboration, emphasizing accessibility, innovation, and flexibility within the skilling ecosystem, and are poised to empower the youth across diverse sectors, enhancing their employability prospects. The partnerships seamlessly align with the G20 framework’s goals, aimed at fortifying learning outcomes, fostering a digital economy, and promoting public-private partnerships to bolster education and skilling systems.
Addressing the gathering, Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to launch a series of initiatives and industry partnerships aimed at skilling and empowering India’s ‘Yuva Shakti’ (Youth Power). The collaborations established today with organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, Teamlease, Upgrad, Reliance Foundation, and more will propel the Skill India Mission forward, building a capable, productive, and efficient workforce ready to embrace global opportunities.”
The event facilitated engaging discussions between industry representatives, the Minister, and the Secretary, where best practices were shared, valuable insights exchanged, and innovative strategies discussed to enhance the capabilities of India’s youth, preparing them for the dynamic world of work.
