Rumy Alqahtani, a 27-year-old model, has been selected as the kingdom’s inaugural representative in the renowned international beauty competition.
The announcement was made by Alqahtani herself via Instagram on Monday, where she expressed her excitement and pride in being chosen as Saudi Arabia’s first-ever participant in the Miss Universe pageant. “This is the first participation of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe competition,” she shared on her social media platform.
