New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced a significant development in the road infrastructure of Himachal Pradesh. In a social media post, Gadkari revealed the approval for the upgradation of the existing road from Kalar Bala village to Nauni Chowk on National Highway-205, spanning across Solan and Bilaspur districts of Himachal Pradesh. The project, estimated at Rs 1244.43 crore, aims to transform the road into a 4-lane thoroughfare with painted shoulders.
Highlighting the positive impact of the road project, Gadkari emphasized its role in enhancing connectivity to key regions in Himachal Pradesh. The upgraded road is poised to provide improved access to prominent destinations such as Shimla, Kangra, Dharamshala, and Mandi. Additionally, the connectivity to Darlaghat and AIIMS is expected to witness a substantial enhancement.
The move aligns with the government’s commitment to advancing infrastructure development and fostering better connectivity in the region. The upgraded road is anticipated to not only facilitate smoother transportation but also contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the area.
