New Delhi: REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power and a prominent Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by contributing Rs. 15 crores to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund through REC Foundation, its CSR arm. The generous donation will be utilized to support the education of 12,500 children of ex-servicemen, underscoring REC Foundation’s dedication to the well-being of those who have valiantly served the nation.
The Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) is aimed at assisting veterans, widows, and their dependents, as well as institutions and organizations working towards the rehabilitation of paraplegic soldiers. The significant contribution by REC Foundation reflects its pledge to supporting the Armed Forces community.
Smt. Taruna Gupta, Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at REC Foundation, presented the cheque for Rs. 15 crores to the Secretary of the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund in a symbolic gesture of solidarity.
