Mumbai: Veteran industrialist and visionary leader Ratan Tata was laid to rest with full state honours today at the Worli crematorium in Mumbai. Thousands, including prominent politicians, business leaders, and celebrities, gathered to bid a final farewell to the iconic figure who transformed India’s industrial landscape and touched millions of lives with his work and philanthropy.
Ratan Tata’s mortal remains were first brought to the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai, where the public was given the opportunity to pay their respects. In honour of his immense contributions, the Maharashtra government declared a day of mourning, with the national flag flown at half-mast across the state.
Tata’s final journey to the Worli crematorium was marked by a solemn atmosphere, with people lining the streets to offer their final goodbyes.
