Bulandshahr: In a momentous event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects totaling over Rs 19,100 crores in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The diverse projects span crucial sectors such as rail, road, oil and gas, urban development, and housing.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Bulandshahr, especially the enthusiastic participation of mothers and sisters, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the auspiciousness of Lord Shri Ram’s darshan on January 22 and the collective presence of Uttar Pradesh residents on this occasion. He lauded the people of Bulandshahr and Western Uttar Pradesh for the extensive development initiatives, totaling more than Rs 19,000 crores, covering areas like railways, highways, petroleum pipelines, water, sewage, medical colleges, industrial townships, and cleanliness campaigns for the Yamuna and Ram Ganga rivers.
Paying tribute to the late Shri Kalyan Singh, a prominent son of the region who devoted his life to both Ram Kaaj (Lord Ram’s work) and Rastra Kaaj (nation’s work), Prime Minister Modi expressed satisfaction in realizing Shri Kalyan Singh’s dream in Ayodhya Dham. He stressed the need to uphold this legacy by furthering the nation’s strength and promoting true social justice.
Reflecting on the completion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of prioritizing ‘Rashtra Pratishtha’ (national pride) and propelling it to new heights. He underscored the government’s commitment to transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, urging a collective effort along the lines of Sabka Prayas.
Addressing the historical imbalance in development post-independence, Prime Minister Modi criticized the neglect Uttar Pradesh faced as the most populous state. He highlighted the transformative initiatives undertaken by the double-engine government since 2017, showcasing the state’s progress in addressing old challenges, boosting economic development, and unveiling significant projects.
Notable developments in Western Uttar Pradesh, such as the creation of one of India’s two defense corridors and the establishment of new national highways, were mentioned by the Prime Minister. He emphasized the government’s focus on enhancing connectivity through modern expressways, initiating the NaMo Bharat train project, introducing metro connectivity, and establishing the state as a hub for eastern and western dedicated freight corridors.
The completion of Jewar Airport, according to Prime Minister Modi, will empower the region, and he predicted that Western Uttar Pradesh is becoming a major job provider in the country. The inauguration of the industrial smart city in Greater Noida was also highlighted, with expectations that it will benefit industries, small businesses, and farmers, providing new avenues for agro-based industries.
Addressing agricultural challenges, the Prime Minister praised the double-engine government for increasing sugarcane prices and ensuring prompt payments to farmers. He emphasized the government’s commitment to farmer welfare, citing the distribution of low-cost fertilizers, including Nano urea, and the transfer of Rs 2.75 lakh crores under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the role of cooperatives, including PACs, cooperative societies, and FPOs, in strengthening small farmers. He highlighted the creation of the world’s largest storage-related scheme, establishing a network of cold storage facilities across the country.
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s efforts to modernize the farming sector, involving Nari Shakti in initiatives like NaMo Drone Didi, where women self-help groups are trained as drone pilots. He highlighted various public welfare schemes aimed at empowering small farmers and women, including the construction of pucca houses, toilets, water connections, and pension facilities, along with the Ayushman Bharat scheme and the PM Crop Insurance Scheme.
Closing his address, Prime Minister Modi assured the citizens that the government’s focus on empowering every sector, including villages, the poor, youth, women, and farmers, will persist. He declared, “For me, you are my family. Your dream is my resolution,” pledging to continue the campaign for the empowerment of every citizen.
