Sangareddy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone and dedicated multiple development projects worth more than Rs 6,800 crores in Sangareddy, Telangana. These projects, spanning various sectors including road, rail, petroleum, aviation, and natural gas, mark a significant milestone in the region’s development trajectory.
In his address to the gathering, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the Central government’s commitment to supporting Telangana’s development. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between the central and state governments in driving progress. Notably, this visit to Telangana follows the Prime Minister’s recent engagements in the state, where he inaugurated projects worth about Rs 56,000 crores in Adilabad.
Emphasizing the government’s ideology of fostering national development through state-centric growth, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of the projects being unveiled. Among the key initiatives is the inauguration of the Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO) center in Hyderabad, which he described as a major milestone in the aviation sector. The center, located at Begumpet Airport, aims to elevate Telangana’s status in aviation research and development, providing a platform for innovation and collaboration in the industry.
The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of modern infrastructure in advancing the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). With a substantial allocation of Rs 11 lakh crore in the recent Budget towards infrastructure development, Prime Minister Modi assured maximum benefits for Telangana. Projects such as the Kandi to Ramsanpalle section of NH-161 and the Miryalaguda to Kodad Section of NH-167 are set to enhance connectivity between Telangana and neighboring states, facilitating smoother transportation of goods and passengers.
Further, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several National Highway projects aimed at bolstering connectivity and promoting economic growth. These projects, including the six-laning of the Pune-Hyderabad Section of NH-65, are poised to provide improved access to industrial centers and tourist destinations within Telangana.
On the rail front, the Prime Minister inaugurated the doubling and electrification of the Sanathnagar – Moula Ali rail line, accompanied by the unveiling of six new station buildings. This initiative is expected to enhance rail services in the region, improving punctuality and efficiency.
Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Indian Oil Paradip-Hyderabad Product Pipeline, which promises to facilitate the safe and cost-effective transportation of petroleum products, furthering the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Telangana’.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Governor of Telangana Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, among others. The unveiling of these projects underscores the government’s steadfast commitment to fostering holistic development and prosperity in Telangana.
