New Delhi: In a momentous virtual ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 1 lakh appointment letters to newly recruited individuals and laid the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex “Karmayogi Bhavan” in New Delhi. The event showcased the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities, modernizing infrastructure, and fostering innovation in various sectors.
Addressing the recipients of the appointment letters, Prime Minister Modi congratulated them and their families, emphasizing the government’s continued efforts to create job opportunities for the youth. He highlighted the importance of transparency in the recruitment process, noting that the government has streamlined the process, leading to increased equal opportunities for the youth to showcase their capabilities.
The Prime Minister stated that the present government, in the last 10 years, has provided jobs to the youth 1.5 times more than the previous administrations. He underscored the government’s dedication to making the youth active partners in the nation’s development. Prime Minister Modi mentioned the laying of the foundation stone of Phase I of the Integrated Complex ‘Karmayogi Bhavan’ in New Delhi, emphasizing its role in strengthening the government’s capacity-building initiatives.
Discussing the government’s efforts to open new sectors and create employment and self-employment opportunities, Prime Minister Modi referenced the Budget announcement of 1 crore rooftop solar plants. He highlighted the potential for job creation through this initiative, offering opportunities for families to reduce power bills and earn income by supplying power to the grid.
Addressing India’s status as the third-largest startup ecosystem globally, with about 1.25 lakh startups, Prime Minister Modi expressed joy at many startups emerging from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The continuation of tax rebates for startups, as announced in the latest budget, was mentioned, along with the allocation of a 1 lakh crore fund for promoting research and innovation.
The Prime Minister drew attention to the ongoing recruitment in the Railway sector through the Rozgar Mela. He highlighted the transformation of the railway sector in India, focusing on electrification, doubling of rail lines, and the introduction of modern amenities for passengers. The addition of 40,000 modern bogies like the Vande Bharat Express to normal trains, as per this year’s Budget, aims to enhance convenience and comfort for passengers.
Emphasizing the far-reaching impact of connectivity, Prime Minister Modi mentioned the significant investment of 11 lakh crore rupees in infrastructure in the recent Budget. The investment will support new rail, road, airport, and waterway projects, creating numerous job opportunities and accelerating overall development.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted reforms in the selection process for paramilitary forces, including examinations being conducted in 13 Indian languages from January onwards. This move ensures equal opportunities for lakhs of candidates, contributing to border and extremism-affected districts’ development.
Concluding his address, the Prime Minister urged the newly appointed Karmyogis to dedicate every day to nation-building. He introduced the Karmyogi Bharat Portal, featuring over 800 courses and 30 lakh users, encouraging the recruits to take full advantage of the available resources.
The Rozgar Mela, held at 47 locations across the country, supported recruitments across Central Government Departments and State Governments/UTs. The initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation, providing opportunities for youth empowerment and direct participation in national development. Newly inducted appointees will have the opportunity to train through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offering more than 880 e-learning courses in an ‘anywhere, any device’ learning format.
