New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu was honored with Timor-Leste’s highest civilian award, the Grand-Collar of the Order of Timor-Leste. The award, presented by Timor-Leste’s President Jose Ramos-Horta, acknowledges her outstanding achievements in education, social welfare, and women’s empowerment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed pride in this prestigious honor, emphasizing its importance in strengthening the relationship between India and Timor-Leste. During her visit to Dili, President Murmu engaged in discussions with President Ramos-Horta, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
