Bhubaneswar: Odisha has reported a robust growth in its State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) collection for July 2024, achieving a total of Rs. 2035.18 crore. This marks a 24.98% increase compared to the Rs. 1628.43 crore collected in July 2023. The cumulative State GST collection up to July 2024 stands at Rs. 8866.95 crore, a 25.67% rise from the Rs. 7055.53 crore collected during the same period last year.
Additionally, Odisha’s Gross GST collection, encompassing CGST, IGST, OGST, and Cess, reached Rs. 4925.02 crore in July 2024. This represents a 16.01% increase from the Rs. 4245.40 crore recorded in July 2023. The cumulative Gross GST collection up to July 2024 has grown to Rs. 20841.33 crore, reflecting a 15.41% growth compared to the Rs. 18058.84 crore collected up to July 2023.
The collection under all Acts monitored by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, including OGST, IGST Settlement, VAT, and Profession Tax, amounted to Rs. 3209.66 crore in July 2024. This is an 18.15% increase from the Rs. 2716.52 crore collected in July 2023. The progressive growth rate under all Acts up to July 2024 stands at 19.60%.
In July 2024, 21.02 lakh e-waybills were generated, showing a 4.44% growth compared to the 20.13 lakh e-waybills generated in July 2023. Out of these, 12.10 lakh were intra-state waybills, and 8.92 lakh were inter-state waybills, highlighting the buoyancy in the state’s economy.
