Odisha Pavilion Steals the Spotlight at 43rd India International Trade Fair in New Delhi

New Delhi: The Odisha Mandap at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) has become a major attraction, captivating thousands of visitors with its artistic splendor and cultural elegance. Both domestic and international attendees have been drawn to the pavilion, which offers a rich blend of Odisha’s heritage and forward-looking initiatives.

This year’s IITF, themed Viksit Bharat @ 2047, has inspired the Odisha Pavilion to strike a unique balance between showcasing the state’s cultural wealth and its developmental strides. The pavilion features 25 meticulously curated stalls that display a variety of cultural artifacts, artisanal crafts, and innovative products. Among the highlights are tribal artwork, organic produce such as Kalajira rice and palm candy, and the delicately spiced Kandhamal turmeric. Products from Mission Shakti Self-Help Groups have also been showcased, reflecting the empowerment of women through traditional and sustainable crafts.

The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation’s stall has delighted visitors with its culinary offerings, including traditional Odia sweets and savories like Pithas, Rasagola, Chhena Jhili, Chhena Poda, and Dahibara. These delicacies have become a crowd favorite, adding a gastronomic dimension to the pavilion’s appeal.

Adding to the grandeur, the pavilion’s design pays homage to Odisha’s iconic monuments. Visitors have been awed by creative depictions of the Mukteswar Temple, the Ratnagiri Arch, and the Sun Temple at Konark, which lend a timeless architectural beauty to the exhibition space. Live demonstrations of traditional crafts, including Pattachitra painting, filigree work, and Sabai grass weaving, have further enriched the experience, offering visitors an intimate view of the state’s artistic traditions.

The pavilion has already recorded a footfall of over 43,000, generating business worth ₹14 lakh. Organizers expect the numbers to grow significantly in the coming days as word of its attractions spreads.

Dignitaries and visitors alike have praised the Odisha Pavilion for its vibrant display of the state’s identity and its alignment with India’s vision of development by 2047.
