Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to release the 4th phase of the first installment under the Subhadra Yojana in January 2025, providing financial aid to over 20 lakh beneficiaries.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, addressing the media on Friday, highlighted that the delay in disbursing the fourth phase is due to ongoing document verification. “We have set December 30 as the deadline for completing the verification process. Once the verifications are finalized, we aim to release the financial assistance in January,” Parida stated.
Regarding the inclusion of all women from the Bonda tribe in the scheme, Parida mentioned that more than 12,000 women have applied for Subhadra Yojana funds, with 9,000 having received their first installment. However, 3,000 beneficiaries are yet to receive the financial aid.
The government had earlier planned to release the fourth phase of Subhadra money on December 25, but the date was deferred due to delays in the verification process.
So far, nearly 80 lakh women across Odisha have benefited from the Mohan Majhi government’s flagship Subhadra Yojana.
