Odisha Govt Clarifies No Deadline for Subhadra Yojana Registration

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced that there is no deadline for the registration process of the Subhadra Yojana, addressing recent concerns amid a surge in activity at post offices and registration centers. The announcement aims to alleviate the rush for updating Aadhaar cards associated with the scheme.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida officially inaugurated a dedicated call center for the Subhadra Yojana, which has already fielded over 150,000 calls seeking clarification. The call center, staffed by 180 personnel working in three shifts, will assist citizens with their queries and concerns regarding the registration process.

In her address, Parida emphasized that applicants only need to provide their Aadhaar number in the application form and do not need to submit a physical copy. She reassured that all eligible beneficiaries will receive financial assistance, regardless of when they complete the registration.

Common Service Centre (CSC) head Dilip Dash also provided an update on the registration portal, which opened today. He noted that online applications are not yet available and advised people to avoid unnecessary crowds at Jana Seva Kendras. Instead, registration forms are accessible through Anganwadi workers and Jana Seva Kendras.

The government has confirmed that the registration process will continue until all eligible beneficiaries are covered and that Aadhaar cards will be verified and returned to applicants without retaining copies.
