Odisha Assembly to Go Paperless with NEVA Implementation

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly is set to transition to a paperless environment with the digitization of its entire functioning, as announced by Speaker Surama Padhi on Saturday.

During the inauguration of a state-level training camp on capacity building in the National e-Vidhan Application (NEVA) at the Assembly premises, Padhi stated that the digitization process, initiated during the last Assembly, would be completed under the current government. Developed and implemented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), NEVA aims to create an eco-friendly workspace.

“The digitization will encompass all activities inside the House, including question hour, bill presentations, and related discussions,” Padhi said. She emphasized the need to expedite the project to keep pace with advancements in technology and artificial intelligence.
