New Delhi: In a ceremony filled with enthusiasm and a commitment to providing a conducive learning environment, Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar, President of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), inaugurated the refurbished Computer Lab and Conference Room, along with a new Lift for Children with Special Needs at Navy Children School Delhi. The event took place on February 15, 2024, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Controller Personnel Services, and Cmde Edwin Jothi Rajan, Cmde (Naval Education) II, among others.
The newly refurbished Computer Lab, named ‘Param,’ is designed for senior classes and can accommodate up to 40 students. Equipped with state-of-the-art furniture, learning charts, and upgraded hardware, Param aims to enhance the technological learning experience for the students. The Conference Room, named ‘Mantrana,’ is equipped with facilities to connect with all naval schools, fostering faculty development programs and online academic interactions among children.
A significant addition to the school’s infrastructure is the newly inaugurated Lift, designed to provide ease of access for Children with Special Needs to all school facilities. This initiative aligns with the school’s ethos of providing holistic and inclusive education, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
During her visit, Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar also explored the School Library and engaged with budding authors. Twenty-eight students who have authored books, published by Bri Books Publications, showcased their literary works and shared their experiences in the realm of writing. Mrs. Kumar encouraged the young authors to continue nurturing their talents and offered valuable advice on facing life’s challenges with resilience.
Expressing her appreciation, Mrs. Kala Hari Kumar commended the efforts to improve facilities at Navy Children School Delhi, recognizing its significant contribution to nation-building through the education and holistic development of its students.
