Sambalpur: A grand Maha Aarti illuminated the banks of the Mahanadi river, near the revered Maa Samaleswari Temple, following the inauguration of the Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economy Initiatives (SAMALEI) project by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Conducted in a serene and spiritual ambiance, the evening Aarti drew the presence of hundreds of devotees, including 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian, who actively participated in the ritual, offering their prayers to the deity.
A notable feature of the SAMALEI project is the Arati Ghat, an impressive 350-meter-long and 25-meter-wide structure developed along the Mahanadi riverfront. A spacious 31-meter-wide platform has been specifically designed for the evening Aarti, providing a captivating setting for religious ceremonies.
The SAMALEI project has brought about a significant transformation in the Samaleswari Temple’s peripheral area, covering 39 acres. The inauguration ceremony and the subsequent Maha Aarti symbolize the commitment to enhancing the spiritual and infrastructural aspects of this sacred site.
