Bhubaneswar: The eagerly awaited Khandagiri Mela and Jatra, an enchanting spectacle in Bhubaneswar, are poised to commence from the third week of February, offering a cultural and festive extravaganza.

The famous fair, hosted at the foothills of Khandagiri and Udayagiri, is scheduled to kick off on February 16 and extend its vibrant festivities for a duration of two weeks.

During the Mela, the hills attract a multitude of sadhus, harking back to its origins when the congregation of sadhus marked the inception of the fair.

Beyond the bustling stalls, the Mela is renowned for its Jatra, with performances slated to commence from February 18.

Distinguished opera troupes such as Saisamrat, Gouri, Suryamandir, Durgamandir, Shivani, Ashok Samrat, Swarna Mahal, Konark, Swarna Mandir, Kalinga, and Tulasi are set to grace the stage.
