New Delhi: The Airports Authority of India Officers’ Institute Annexe ground in New Delhi echoed with the spirit of sportsmanship as the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) organized a Sports Meet for its employees today. The event, aimed at promoting physical fitness and fostering a healthier workplace culture, witnessed enthusiastic participation in various sports and games.
IREDA employees engaged in Badminton, Races, Tug-of-War, and Team-Building activities, showcasing not only their athletic prowess but also a strong sense of camaraderie. The culmination of the Sports Meet was marked by a prize distribution ceremony where the winners were felicitated by the Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, Shri Pradip Kumar Das.
This initiative by IREDA is aligned with the Fit India Movement launched by the Prime Minister in August 2019, which encourages behavioral changes towards a more physically active lifestyle. The Sports Meet was inaugurated by Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, Shri Pradip Kumar Das, in the presence of Director (Finance), Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty; Chief Vigilance Officer, Shri Ajay Kumar Sahani, and other officials. The CMD emphasized the importance of physical fitness, not only for a healthy lifestyle but also for boosting productivity and overall wellbeing.
