Dr. Dasari Radhika, with a distinguished 28-year career at RINL, has been a trailblazer in a traditionally male-dominated field. As DGM (HR), she has demonstrated exceptional resilience and leadership, overcoming numerous challenges and breaking down gender barriers in the steel industry. Her contributions extend beyond conventional HR duties. Dr. Radhika has been instrumental in promoting employee welfare and fostering a positive workplace culture. Her initiatives include regular shop floor meetings, psychological counseling inspired by her Master’s degree in Psychology, and research on “Work-Life Balance.” These efforts have significantly enhanced workplace morale and inclusivity at RINL.
The ‘Gender Diversity Award’ from the ISA acknowledges Dr. Radhika’s exemplary leadership in creating an inclusive culture and her dedication to equity and fairness. Her work at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, especially in challenging zones, has set a benchmark for others in the industry.
“This award is a testament to the exceptional commitment and leadership demonstrated by Dr. Radhika,” said Nagendra Nath Sinha, while presenting the award. “Her journey embodies the spirit of breaking barriers and advancing gender diversity in the steel sector.”
