Indian Railways and India Post Collaborate to Renovate Heritage Building in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda:  In a collaborative effort between Indian Railways and India Post, the Heritage Building of Jharsuguda Post Office has been successfully renovated. The initiative, in line with the commitment made by Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw during his visit to Jharsuguda in November 2021, aims at restoring, maintaining, and re-operationalizing the post office, which dates back to the British Era, having been built in 1882.

The renovation project was undertaken based on the demands of the local people, emphasizing the significance of preserving the heritage building. Railway Minister Shri Vaishnaw, in his recent visit to Jharsuguda, reviewed the progress of the work and ensured the fulfillment of the commitment made during his earlier visit.

The response from the Railway administration showcases a dedication to enhancing accessibility and convenience for the local residents. The successful renovation of the Heritage Building is a testament to the collaborative efforts of Indian Railways and India Post, contributing to the preservation of historical structures and providing improved facilities for the community.
