Indian Naval Chief Adm Dinesh K Tripathi Visits UAE to Strengthen Defence Cooperation

New Delhi: Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of India, is on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 21 to 24, 2024. The visit is aimed at enhancing defence ties between the two nations as part of their growing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and consolidating bilateral maritime relations between the Indian Navy and the UAE Naval Forces.

During his visit, Adm Tripathi will hold high-level discussions with Rear Admiral Pilot Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, along with other senior UAE government officials. The talks are expected to explore new areas of cooperation between the two navies, further strengthening the already robust defence collaboration between the two nations.

The CNS is also scheduled to visit the UAE National Defence College, where he will engage with student officers in an interactive session. His visit coincides with the 3rd Edition of the India-UAE Bilateral Naval Exercise, which he will witness, reflecting the growing operational synergy between the two navies.

The ongoing cooperation between the Indian and UAE navies includes a range of engagements, such as port calls, bilateral naval exercises, reciprocal visits, Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks, and the Joint Defence Cooperation Committee (JDCC), all of which play a key role in maintaining and expanding the strategic partnership between the two countries.
