India-Singapore Joint Military Exercise AGNI WARRIOR 2024 Concludes Successfully

Devlali, Maharashtra: The 13th edition of the bilateral Joint Military Exercise AGNI WARRIOR (XAW-2024) between the Indian Army and the Singapore Armed Forces concluded today at the Field Firing Ranges in Devlali, Maharashtra. The three-day exercise, conducted from November 28 to 30, witnessed active participation from 182 personnel of the Singapore Artillery and 114 personnel from the Indian Army’s Regiment of Artillery.

The exercise aimed to enhance mutual understanding of operational drills and procedures to foster jointness as a multinational force aligned with the United Nations Charter. Key activities included joint firepower planning, execution, and the utilization of New Generation Equipment by both armies’ artillery units.

Senior officials, including Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Director General of Artillery, Lieutenant General NS Sarna, Commandant, School of Artillery, and Colonel Ong Chiou Perng, Chief Artillery Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces, witnessed the event. They lauded the professionalism and expertise exhibited by the troops during the exercise.

XAW-2024 featured extensive joint preparations, coordination, and a thorough understanding of each other’s capabilities. It also explored evolving a common interface between Indian and Singaporean Artillery procedures. Both sides leveraged niche technologies to execute operations, with participants exchanging best practices to bolster interoperability.

The exercise served as a platform for the Singapore Armed Forces to gain in-depth exposure to the intricacies of Fire Power planning and coordination.
