Goa: In a significant gathering set to shape the future of global energy, the India Energy Week (IEW) 2024, scheduled from February 6 to 9, will bring together energy ministers, key decision-makers, and industry experts from across the world. Hosted in the vibrant state of Goa at the IPSHEM-ONGC Training Institute, the event is organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India.
The IEW platform aims to foster collaboration on energy policies through the exchange of experiences, with a focus on transitioning the world towards a cleaner and sustainable future. The event is expected to draw over 35,000+ attendees, 350+ exhibitors, 400+ speakers, and 4,000+ delegates from over 100 countries, making it a truly global initiative.
Prominent foreign-government representatives, including petroleum ministers from Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, and energy ministers from Ghana, Djibouti, and Sri Lanka, will share insights and experiences. The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haithan Al Ghais, will also be present, representing the top decision-making body for oil-exporting countries.
Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, the Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas & Housing and Urban Affairs, will play a key role, chairing multiple conferences and sessions. The IEW 2024 will provide a 360-degree perspective on the global energy scenario, featuring speakers from regulatory bodies, renewable and alternate fuel associations, companies, policy researchers, and consultants.
The agenda includes a diverse range of sessions such as “India’s Oil Market 2030,” “Energy supply chain of the future and the impact of the choices of the current fuel mix,” “Seismic shifts – harnessing new exploration technology to develop deepwater frontiers,” and “Ensuring energy security for nations and industry in a VUCA world,” among others.
