Thulasimathi Murugesan, India’s promising para shuttler, showcased her talent in the finals but fell short against China’s Yang Qiu Xia, the reigning champion. The closely contested match ended with scores of 17-21, 10-21, securing Murugesan a commendable silver medal.
Despite the loss in the final, India’s spirits soared as Manisha Ramadass clinched the bronze medal in the same category. Ramadass delivered an exceptional performance against Denmark’s Cathrine Rosengren, dominating the match with a straight-sets victory of 21-12, 21-8.
