New Delhi: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan attended the ‘Exercise Cyber Suraksha – 2024’ on May 22, 2024, underscoring the importance of bolstering India’s cyber defence capabilities.
The comprehensive cyber defence exercise, conducted by the Defence Cyber Agency from May 20 to May 24, 2024, aims to enhance the Cyber Defence Capability of all cybersecurity organizations and promote synergy among all stakeholders. The exercise focuses on fostering collaboration and integration among participants from various military and prominent national organizations.
CDS Gen Chauhan highlighted the critical need for jointness among all stakeholders in the cyber domain. He praised the initiative for creating a collaborative environment to address emerging cyber threats and commended the participants and staff for their dedication and efforts in organizing the exercise.
“Jointness and collaboration are paramount in the cyber domain. Exercise Cyber Suraksha – 2024 provides a vital platform for enhancing our cyber defence skills, sharing best practices, and working towards a unified and robust cyber defence posture,” said Gen Chauhan.
Exercise Cyber Suraksha – 2024 aims to empower participants by enhancing their cyber defence skills, techniques, and capabilities. It will promote jointmanship and synergy in planning and preparation of a Cyber Defence Framework, reaffirming the commitment of the Indian Armed Forces to safeguarding national security in the increasingly important cyber domain.
The event demonstrates India’s proactive stance in strengthening its cyber defence mechanisms and ensuring a secure digital environment in the face of evolving cyber threats.
