Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha on Friday announced the results of annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination-2021.
This is the first time that Class 10 results were declared without conducting the examination. Due to the COVID situation exams have been cancelled.
As per the results, 97.89 percent students in Odisha cleared the Class 10 examination this year without appearing for the exams amidst the pandemic.
Declaring the results at the BSE office in Cuttack, Odisha School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash informed, “Out of 5,74,125 examinees, a total of 5,62,010 students (Boys- 2,80,352, Girls- 2,81,658) passed the exam successfully. Total 7,703 students failed to score pass marks.”
2,656 students have cleared the exam with Grade A1, while 22,131 students secured Grade A2. Similarly, 52,299 students got Grade B1, while 94,475 students cleared the exam with Grade B2.
The marks have been awarded to students based on their performances in Class 9 examination and pre-board examinations of Class 10.
Students not satisfied with the result can appear in the examination later, dates will be announced later considering the Covid situation.
