Ayodhya: As the city prepares for the upcoming consecration ceremony on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh government is going to host the International Kite Festival in Ayodhya. Scheduled to unfold between January 19 and 21, the festival aims to draw renowned kite flyers from across the globe, providing them with a platform to showcase their art.
The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has taken the lead in organizing this vibrant event, initiating preparations and seeking proposals from private agencies to bring the festival to life. The selected agency will be responsible for conceptualization, design, execution, and supervision of event management, as well as the development of temporary structures and related infrastructure.
Applicants are invited to submit proposals through the Request for Proposal format, with the selection process slated for completion by January 8. Subsequently, a comprehensive plan for the International Kite Festival will be formulated.
Inspired by successful kite festivals held both in India and abroad, the event promises grandeur. A dedicated visitor area with seating for 750 people, a lounge featuring 50 VVIP sofas for special invitees, and arrangements for 350 cushioned chairs and 350 other chairs will be part of the program. Volunteers will ensure a pleasant experience for competitors and spectators alike.
The food counter will showcase local flavours, with dishes made from millet and an opportunity for attendees to savor Awadhi cuisine. Precautionary measures will address challenges like monkey interference with tents and equipment during the festival. High-quality cameras and sound arrangements will enhance the overall experience.
